BIDDING ADIEU: A farewell dinner was recently hosted at Peter Nagy’s gallery, in the capital, to bid adieu to the outgoing head of the press and information department of the German embassy, Niklas Wagner, and his wife Chiara. German ambassador Michael Steiner was also present here, along with wife Eliese. He said, “I don’t want Wagner to go. He’ll be missed.”INCREDIBLE INDIA: Wagner and his wife were seen greeting and receiving farewell gifts from friends.
He said, “I’m completely attached to India now, and I don’t want to go back. ‘Incredible’ is an apt word for this beautiful place. I’ve learnt a lot here, and would love to come back.”
NO TEARS AT THIS FAREWELL: Guests were seen admiring the artwork over drinks and snacks here. Sara, a friend of Niklas, said, “Art is the cherry on the cake on this occasion. We want to bid him farewell with smiles, and not with teary eyes. His wife is a true art lover; I think that’s why this was the venue.”
